Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026
Tawhid Space (“the app”) is made by Sochlab LLP, Mumbai, India (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the app and this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be read by people, not just lawyers.
1. Information you give us
- Account details: your email address and password (stored only in hashed form), and the verification codes we send to confirm your email.
- Profile: your name, birth date, gender and preferred language, used to personalise the app and its content.
- Phone number: requested during setup so we can reach you if your answers indicate you may need crisis support. It is never used for marketing.
- Wellbeing entries: mood check-ins, journal entries (Muhasaba, Gratitude, Tawakkul, Tafakkur), sleep logs, clinical self-assessments (such as PHQ-9, GAD-7 and C-SSRS) and your safety plan. This is health-related information. We ask for your consent before you take an assessment.
- Practice settings and progress: prayer-time settings, completed practices, Noor points, streaks and companion cosmetics.
- Messages to us: anything you send when you email us for support.
2. Information collected automatically
- Device and diagnostics: device model, operating system, app version and crash reports, which help us find and fix bugs. Crash reports are processed by our error-monitoring provider.
- Notifications: if you allow notifications, a push token so we can send prayer-time reminders.
- Purchases: if you subscribe, Apple or Google tells us your subscription status. We never see or store your card details.
We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not build advertising profiles.
3. How we use your information
- To provide the app’s features and adapt them to how you’re feeling.
- To show safety resources and helplines when your answers suggest you may be at risk.
- To send reminders you’ve chosen to receive.
- To manage your subscription and answer support requests.
- To keep the service secure, prevent misuse, and fix problems.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who host our servers, deliver emails and notifications, and process crash reports. They act on our instructions and under contract.
- Apple and Google, to process app-store purchases.
- Authorities, only when the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it, and deletion
We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account (Settings → Delete Account in the app, or see our support page):
- Your mood entries, gratitude entries, points and progress are permanently deleted.
- Clinical records (assessments, safety plan and reflection entries) are kept in a de-identified form for the retention period that health-data regulations require. They are no longer linked to your identity.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Sign-in tokens are kept in encrypted storage on your device. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit who can access it.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act or the EU/UK GDPR), you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or withdraw your consent. Email sochlabco@gmail.com and we will respond within the time the law requires.
8. Children
Tawhid Space is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date above and let you know in the app.
